About Me
I'm Louise, owner of Positive Paws, wife, mother to three teenagers three gorgeous dogs. My dream to become a dog trainer became reality in 2019 when I began studying Canine Behaviour through the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers. I'm now an Accredited and certified member of the IMDT, qualified in Behaviour Modification to a level three, canine reactivity, canine first aid, canine body language and basic nutrition, to name a few! I believe that we can never know too much and strive to continue my Personal development in all areas dog.
2023 will bring specialized courses in lead walking and recall, canine first aid for the owner and hopefully some scent work courses. This will of course be alongside my already popular group sessions. At the end of February there will be a Canine Shop, open to the general public six days a week at the front of my new Training Centre, supplying everything you need for your canine friends. We hope this will be a really popular addition, everything we sell will be of a really high quality and only things we would use for our own pets.

I believe that owning a pet is an amazing and rewarding experience, but also a big responsibility to be taken seriously. Training your pet properly will lead you to a greater understanding of the dog, and I firmly believe in the owner-pet relationship being one of mutual understanding and respect. I involve you fully in the training process, and with this holistic approach, I find that owners end up learning as much, if not more, than their pets. Get in touch to find out more about my positive approach to training.
I'm a Trustee for a local charity 'Companion Paws', which rehomes older dogs with people that are lonely and isolated. Find out more on my 'Charity work' page.

Louise has been invaluable whilst settling my Romanian Rescue. Like a lot of these poor souls he's come with a lot of baggage and Louise has been a god send helping me to settle him. She has a real passion for what she does, I can't recommend her highly enough.

Louise has transformed our relationship with our little dog Ollie. we've gone from a dog that we couldn't walk near other dogs without lunging and barking to a dog that we can take out with us as a family and have a relaxed dog enjoying his day out. We've worked hard with Louise for several months but the result is a happy dog and a much better bond.
