1:1 sessions

My 1:1 sessions are a popular service, which I've been developing and improving since I started Positive Paws. They involve an intimate understanding of your animal’s natural and individual history. Your pet has plenty of potential to learn and understand commands, and my techniques will lay the foundation for you to build upon. I combine your needs and wants with the natural attributes of your pet.

1:1 Sessions cost £50 for an 2 hour initial discovery appointment, with a £10 non refundable deposit to secure your session. Further sessions are £30 per hour, which can be booked individually or as block sessions, which may require advance payment to secure your slots.

You will receive worksheets for some of the behaviours we cover during sessions and a training plan via email if needed, but will leave with the tools to work alone with your dog until our next session. Help in between is available via email support.

Packages available for new puppy owners, these are tailored to the individual. Please contact me to dicuss what you feel you need. I offer appointments for before the puppy comes home, help during your first few weeks, some 1:1 training until your puppy can come to classes. We design your package together.

Learning starts from as soon as your puppy is born and I want to give you the best possible start to building that important bond with them. But classes are for older dogs too- its never to late to start some more training with your dog. Classes are a great way to gain socialisation skills with your dog and learn along side other owners, in a safe, fun environment. Everything is taught using up to date, positive training methods, I don't allow the use of anything that your dog would find aversive.

Joining me with your new puppy you will learn everything from the basic 'SIT' to safe handling of your puppy, appropriate play, walking on a loose lead and the first steps of recall. Plus much more along the way!

As classes progress and the learning pushes your dogs ability they will learn an emergency stop, jumps and crawling and some basic scentwork- to name a few. All classes are taught in a way that is inclusive for all, I welcome children to my classes as I believe its really important for your children to be involved with their pet and learn appropriate ways to play with them. I've had wheelchair users in classes to, it's important that everyone can learn what they feel they need, adapting exercises to suit the individual owner and pet.

Classes are held at my Training Centre on Horsley Fields Estate, Kings Lynn PE30 5DD. No need to fight against the weather as its all inside!

My initial Puppy course is 8 weeks long and costs £90, including a starter pack with help sheets and treats. At the end of the course you will have the skill sto continue teaching your dog to walk on a loose lead, have good impulse control, the basis or recall, emergency stops and much more! You are then welcome to continue into adolescent classes at the rolling classes price below.

Rolling Classes are £8 per hourly session, these are paid for the month ahead. As long as payment is made on time your place is secured for the following month. Discounts available if you bring multiple dogs. Rolling classes continue to build on your puppy skills, right up to advanced skills and trick work. These classes are very popular and spaces are always limited due to customers returning month after month!

I never mind someone visiting a class to see how they are run and to decide if my classes are right for you and your dog. Please let me know in advance to arrange this as some dogs can be nervous of new people.
